Rick leads the Creepers, a group of young urban explorers who film dangerous trips for online viewers. He brings Diane, Cora, Vernon, and JD into the abandoned Paragon Hotel in New Jersey to make a bigger video and search for a rumored fortune tied to the hotel's mob past. A rival crew enters the building for the same treasure, while a pale supernatural creature hunts both groups through dark rooms, tunnels, and hidden passages. The film mixes survival horror, adventure, crude jokes, and a bleak warning about people who keep taking bigger risks for attention.
The clearest social message is that online fame can make people ignore danger and treat real suffering as content. Rick wants more viewers, and the group keeps filming even after the hotel turns deadly. Diane and Cora help solve problems and survive, while Rick's need for approval pushes the group deeper into danger. The story also uses a dark ritual, a cursed creature, rival criminals, and a fight to escape.
