Eden is a 2025 historical survival thriller directed by Ron Howard that dramatizes the real 1930s Galápagos Affair, in which separate groups of European outsiders settle a remote uninhabited island seeking utopian renewal only for their experiment to collapse amid clashing personalities, resource conflicts, and self-destructive behavior. The narrative frames the greatest threat as internal human nature rather than the brutal environment or wildlife. No audience-visible woke elements such as identity-driven themes, activist dialogue, or forced representation appear in the story, casting, or production.
