Breakdown
These are the editorial factors and ratings behind our score for Expend4bles.
Woke representation / casting
The movie adds prominent female members to the previously all-male squad. Megan Fox plays Gina, who takes over as the team leader. Levy Tran plays Lash, a highly skilled female fighter who uses a chain whip. Some viewers felt these roles were added to meet modern diversity goals. However, the characters still fit the brainless action style of the movie.
