Orson Fortune is a skilled British spy with picky tastes and lots of odd habits. The British government hires him when thieves steal a secret high-tech device worth a fortune. Fortune’s team brings in a famous movie star so they can get close to a flashy arms dealer who plans to sell it. The movie is a light spy action comedy full of banter, chases, and globe-trotting jobs.
The story stays focused on the mission, the team’s plans, and greedy buyers who want power and money. The main team has a sharp woman hacker and a skilled black marksman next to the male lead, but the plot treats them as job roles, not as identity lessons. The big threat is a stolen AI tool that could wreck world markets, not a social-justice message. Viewers mainly get spy fun, star cameos, and rich-villain greed.

Breakdown
These are the editorial factors and ratings behind our score for Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre.
Woke representation / casting
Team includes a capable woman hacker (Plaza) and a black marksman (Malone) beside Statham. Those roles fit modern spy-team habits more than a loud identity showcase. The film does not sell itself as a diversity project, and the story keeps Fortune as the clear lead. Light, background-level casting variety only.
22%
Woke political dialogue
Talk is spy banter, money, plans, and jokes. No clear activist lines about race, gender identity, systemic oppression, or modern social-justice slogans that drive the scenes.
0%
Identity-driven story themes
Core theme is stop a stolen super AI and greedy buyers from crashing world markets. Character arcs are mission, cover stories, and double-crosses, not identity politics or representation lessons.
0%
Western institutional / cultural critique
Villains are rich, greedy power players who want market chaos for profit. That is standard “corrupt rich guys” thriller fuel, not a modern activist attack on Western culture, faith, family norms, or “toxic masculinity” as the point of the film.
5%
Woke character or canon changes
Not present in this title.
0%
Anti-woke backlash and complaints
No major anti-woke campaign or widespread claims that the film pushes DEI or identity propaganda. Public heat was about delay, box office, and whether the movie was fun—not that it was woke.
0%
Creator track record context
Key writers and producers sit low on the cached woke scale. Ritchie is known for crime and action style, not activist messaging. Casting director is mildly higher but still modest. Overall crew context is light.
