William is a widowed farmer who earns money by cutting up bodies for city gang members. He lives on an isolated farm with his daughter Gloria, who has grown used to the work and says she can see the dead. Their hard life changes when Jackie arrives with gunshot wounds but is still alive. William hides Jackie from the gang while he tries to protect Gloria, leave crime behind, and deal with ghosts in the house. The film mixes bloody crime, family drama, ghost horror, and a tense home attack.
The clearest identity-focused material comes from Jackie, who is a woman inside a violent gang world and is shown as a tough survivor. The story gives her a mother-like bond with Gloria, and Jackie helps Gloria through her first period. Gloria also moves through a coming-of-age story as she deals with grief, isolation, and the loss of her mother. These points are visible and repeated, but they support the family and survival plot instead of becoming a political or activist message.

Breakdown
These are the editorial factors and ratings behind our score for I'll Take Your Dead.
Woke representation / casting
The lead cast includes a female gang member and a tough young girl. Interviews frame Jackie around the pressures of being a woman in a gang. The modern crime setting makes these roles story-plausible, and no diversity-first casting plan was reported. This creates a weak identity signal rather than a broad representation pattern.
12%
Woke political dialogue
Not present. The film has crime and survival talk, but it does not use spoken lines to push modern identity, gender-role, DEI, or activist ideas.
0%
Identity-driven story themes
Jackie is a woman in a gang and is shown as a hard fighter who survives an attempted killing. The story gives her a mother-like bond with Gloria, and she helps Gloria through her first period. Gloria’s growth after her mother’s death is a continuing part of the family drama. These gender and coming-of-age ideas matter to the middle of the film, but the movie does not turn them into a modern activist message.
27%
Western institutional / cultural critique
Not present. The film shows gang coercion, violence, grief, and a father who wants to escape crime. It does not attack modern family norms, men as a group, Christianity, or Western institutions.
0%
Woke character or canon changes
Not relevant. The film is an original crime and horror story. It does not change a known character, book, real person, or historical event.
0%
Anti-woke backlash and complaints
Not present. No reported audience, news, Reddit, or social media complaint says the film pushes woke, DEI, identity politics, or left-wing ideas. The supplied X research also found no anti-woke reaction.
