Sooryavanshi follows Veer Sooryavanshi, a Mumbai police officer who leads the Anti-Terrorism Squad. He must find hidden explosives and stop a terrorist group from attacking the city. The case takes him from Mumbai to other places while his work pulls him away from his wife, Ria, and their son. The film mixes loud action, jokes, family trouble, patriotism, and a huge team-up with other police heroes.
The film gives repeated attention to Hindu and Muslim identity, but it uses that subject mainly to separate terrorists from patriotic Indian Muslims and to stress one Indian nation. The hero gives direct lessons about religious peace, while the story also links visible Muslim religious signs and prayer with the terrorist network. The only important woman is a doctor and estranged wife, and the story gives her little control over the police action. These points are clear, but the film is mainly a loud police adventure built around a male hero, not a diversity or social-justice story.

Breakdown
These are the editorial factors and ratings behind our score for Sooryavanshi.
Woke representation / casting
Not present. The Indian cast fits an Indian police and terrorism story. Muslim characters and the woman doctor are tied to the plot, not presented as a diversity-first casting statement.
0%
Woke political dialogue
The hero gives several short lines about judging people by actions, not religion. A song names Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, and Christian Indians as equal. The message is repeated, but it serves patriotic unity rather than a broad modern activist campaign.
28%
Identity-driven story themes
Religious identity shapes the terrorist plot and the film’s idea of loyalty to India. The story separates Muslim terrorists from Muslim police allies and a retired Muslim officer shown as patriotic. A Hindu-Muslim unity scene tries to soften that divide. This is a clear identity message, but it is mainly nationalist rather than modern DEI or social-justice storytelling.
33%
Western institutional / cultural critique
Not present. The story does not attack Western institutions or traditional family values. It presents police, patriotism, marriage, and family as normal parts of the story.
0%
Woke character or canon changes
Not relevant. The film is an original story in the Cop Universe, and no established character receives a new race, gender, sexuality, or identity. Singham and Simmba continue their existing roles.
0%
Anti-woke backlash and complaints
Not present. The supplied X pass found no anti-woke complaints. The main public dispute said the film was anti-Muslim, while right-leaning users praised it as patriotic and not woke.

Creator track record context
Ritesh Shah has a moderate cached score because Pink centers women’s rights and he has spoken about women’s control over their bodies. Karan Johar has a higher cached score because his work and public comments often cover gender and queer identity. Rohit Shetty, Farhad Samji, Yunus Sajawal, and the other producers have low scores, and this film does not carry those themes as its main story.
