Chris Perfetti

Personal context

Summary

Chris Perfetti is an American actor known for Abbott Elementary, Looking, The Night Of, and stage work. His roles often include socially awkward or earnest characters; in interviews, he has praised portraying a queer teacher whose sexuality is part of his life without defining him. Perfetti has called that approach “both political and not,” urged network television to keep creating gay characters beyond the “gay best friend” stereotype, and criticized bills restricting discussion of LGBTQ topics in schools. No public partisan campaigning, DEI affiliations, or broader activist roles are on record.
