Christopher Lloyd

Personal context

Summary

Christopher Lloyd is a television writer and producer who co-created Modern Family and worked on Frasier and The Golden Girls. Modern Family follows several connected households, and Lloyd said its creators wanted cross-cultural elements, including a father’s marriage to a woman from a different background. He also described a Frasier episode about race as an unusual choice, saying the series had generally avoided politically oriented stories and that the episode was not made in response to calls for greater diversity on television. No public advocacy, party campaigning, or DEI affiliations are on record.
