Emilia Clarke

Personal context

Summary

Emilia Clarke is a British actor and producer known for Game of Thrones, Solo: A Star Wars Story, and Me Before You. Her screen work often includes women in positions of strength and leadership, and she has said the industry still offers unequal opportunities for women. She has supported Time’s Up, called for more female directors and broader representation in storytelling, and voiced hope that stories from everyone would continue to be told after Black Lives Matter. Clarke also co-founded SameYou, which supports recovery after brain injury and stroke; no public party or candidate campaigning is on record.
