Personal context

Summary

Zach Galifianakis is a comedian, actor, writer, and creator known for The Hangover films, Baskets, and the satirical interview series Between Two Ferns. His work often uses awkward, deadpan humor and irreverent interviews; in public comments, he has described himself as liberal, criticized anti-immigrant politics, and spoken against child labor, saying he rejected a Nike endorsement over its factory practices. He volunteered for Michael Dukakis’s 1988 campaign and has used Between Two Ferns to challenge political figures, including Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. No public statements on DEI, identity representation, or LGBTQ advocacy are on record.
