2026 · Based on 1 season, 6 episodes through July 3, 2026 · · Hindi
Pritam and Pedro follows Pedro Gonsalves, an old-school police officer in Goa who is pushed into the cybercrime unit after an investigation goes wrong. He wants to return to the Crime Branch, but he must work with Pritam Parker, a quiet young hacker who can find digital clues that Pedro cannot understand. Their main case begins when Sports Minister D. N. Sardesai’s son Vinny appears to be kidnapped. The show mixes police work, computer crime, jokes, grief, and a warm friendship in six short episodes.
The story uses the clash between old police instincts and new technology as its main idea. Pritam and Pedro also deal with online games, blackmail, fake photos, family pain, and the danger of children trusting people on the internet. The show treats family care, honest work, and teamwork as more important than fame or public credit. Its social message stays tied to online safety and broken relationships, while the tone remains light and easy to follow.

Breakdown
These are the editorial factors and ratings behind our score for Pritam and Pedro.
Woke representation / casting
Not present. The main leads are Indian men in a present-day Goa police story, with women mostly in family and support roles. The opening robbers wear burqas as disguises, but the show does not explore their religion or present them as a representation message.
0%
Woke political dialogue
Pedro says that criticism of the opposition is needed in a democracy. He also jokes that the cash ban called demonetisation makes it hard to gather ransom money. These are brief political references, not identity or activist speeches. They do not shape the case or the characters.
13%
Identity-driven story themes
Not present. The main story follows two male police partners solving a cybercrime case. Its themes are online danger, family loss, friendship, and teamwork.
0%
Western institutional / cultural critique
Not present. The show makes fun of slow police work, stolen credit, online scams, and news drama. It does not present family, religion, gender roles, or Western culture as the cause of the crime.
0%
Woke character or canon changes
Not relevant. The show is an original cybercrime story based on cybercrime books. No established character or historical person is changed by race, gender, sexuality, or religion.
0%
Anti-woke backlash and complaints
Not present. Reviews and audience posts criticize pacing, simple cybercrime, the ending, and Vir Hirani’s nepotism link. No clear anti-woke complaint about DEI, identity politics, or activist messaging appears in the reviewed coverage.
0%
Creator track record context
Rajkumar Hirani has a moderate record of stories about social problems and reform. Abhijat Joshi has also written about riots, education, corruption, and social change. Avinash Arun and Suyash Trivedi have no clear activist or identity-politics record in the available context. The producers add little political signal, and Mukesh Chhabra’s access-focused casting work is a smaller supporting signal. This creates moderate creator context, but it does not make the show identity-driven.
