Ally Morgan is a skilled emergency doctor who has built her life around the hospital. She plans to work on Christmas Eve, and her boyfriend Josh ends their relationship because he wants more time together. After the breakup, Ally meets Gabe, a mysterious barista who is really an angel, in the snowy town of Angel Falls. Gabe gives her a Christmas checklist, and the warm holiday comedy follows her through skating, tree shopping, baking, singing, and family events.
The film’s main message asks whether Ally can keep her demanding career while sharing a life with a man. The story treats her work as valuable, and Josh finally admits that he should not have made her choose between love and her career. Ally keeps working in emergency care and plans to take over a medical practice, while Josh leaves a job he dislikes to become a teacher. The movie presents change, family, second chances, and work-life balance through a gentle Christmas romance.
