Dr. Nate Samuels takes his two teenage daughters to a South African game reserve after their mother dies. Nate hopes the trip will help the family heal, but a huge lion traps them after poachers kill its pride. The lion sees people as enemies because of the violence it suffered. The story becomes a tense fight for survival while Nate tries to protect his daughters and repair their broken trust.
The movie shows grief, guilt, family pain, and the duty of a father. The story also shows poaching as a danger to animals and local communities. The lion appears as a wounded animal instead of a simple evil monster. These ideas create a small conservation message, but survival and family drama remain much more important than any political or identity theme.

Creator track record context
Producer Will Packer has publicly supported diverse casting as good business. Producer James Lopez works for a company built around black and other minority voices. Casting director Kim Taylor-Coleman has spoken about the value of diverse casting. The director and writers have little public activist context, so this remains a supporting signal rather than a major part of the film.
