Die Hart follows a fictional version of Kevin Hart, a famous comedian who wants to become a serious action star. After a public outburst about being treated as comic relief, he enters an extreme action school run by Ron Wilcox. Hart trains beside Jordan King and faces stunts, fights, fake danger, and a plot that may be more than a lesson. The movie uses fast jokes, rude language, cartoon violence, and self-mockery to make fun of action films and Hart’s public image.
The main audience-visible identity signal is Jordan, a black British woman who is shown as a tough, skilled rival trainee. The movie gives her an important supporting role, but it does not make her race or sex into a political speech or a lesson about society. Hart’s central struggle is career typecasting and his need to prove himself, not a fight over race, gender, sexuality, or social power. The film’s main themes are fame, pride, fear, and the difference between acting brave and being brave.

Breakdown
These are the editorial factors and ratings behind our score for Die Hart.
Woke representation / casting
Nathalie Emmanuel plays Jordan King, a prominent black British woman at the action school. Jordan is shown as a tough and capable rival who can match Kevin in training and fighting. This is a visible identity choice in an important supporting role, but the movie gives no diversity-first message and does not make her identity a plot issue.

Creator track record context
The stored scores for Derek Kolstad, Tripper Clancy, Eric Appel, and Kevin Hart are low, from 7 to 20. Several other producers also have little or no activist record. Jeff Clanagan has a stronger black-representation business history, and Candice Wilson Cherry has led projects about Black performers. Those mixed producer records raise context slightly, but the film itself is not framed as an activist project.
