William Foster is a neuroscientist who works for a secret biotech company in Puerto Rico. He studies how to move a human mind into a robot body. A sudden car crash kills his wife and three children, so he uses his lab skills to make new bodies and place their memories inside them. The film begins as a sad family drama and then becomes a tense science-fiction chase.
The story follows William as he hides the bodies, steals equipment, and chooses which child can return because he has only three cloning pods. He also changes the family’s memories so they will not remember the youngest child or the crash. The company wants to use the same science for soldiers, weapons, and rich people who want a second life. The main themes are grief, family love, scientific pride, control, and the question of whether a copied mind is still the same person.

Writers Chad St. John and Stephen Hamel have mainstream action and science-fiction credits without a strong activist record. Keanu Reeves, the producers, and the casting team have mostly commercial, private, or story-driven profiles. The film’s interviews focus on Frankenstein, grief, and technology ethics.
