Schumacher follows German Formula 1 driver Michael Schumacher from his early kart races to seven world titles. The film moves through his rise with Benetton, his Ferrari years, and his later return with Mercedes. It also reaches the 2013 skiing accident that left him with a severe brain injury and changed his family’s life. The tone shifts from fast and proud race drama to quiet family grief.
The film presents Schumacher as both a fierce driver who chased every advantage and a warm husband and father away from the track. Old interviews show his focus, while Corinna, Mick, Gina, Rolf, and racing colleagues describe his private side. His pursuit of winning, his work with his team, and his need to protect family privacy shape the main themes. The final section uses family memories to show how his children live with the absence of the father they knew.

Creator track record context
The three directors have no documented woke track record and are known mainly for general documentaries. Most producers also have no documented activist profile. Two producers have wider credits about women, migrants, and minority communities. Those credits give a weak background signal, but this film does not carry those themes.
