Sonic is a blue hedgehog who can run faster than anything on Earth. He hides in a small Montana town so no one can catch him for his powers. Lonely and looking for friends, he teams up with local sheriff Tom after a power-surge mess draws evil genius Dr. Robotnik. The movie is a bright, silly family action-comedy about friendship and a race to stop Robotnik from taking over.
The story stays on buddy-comedy beats, speed chases, and a lonely kid-like hero who wants a home. Themes center on friendship, found family, and protecting people you care about. Marketing and reviews pushed the fan redesign of Sonic and Jim Carrey’s over-the-top villain, not politics or identity lectures. Normal viewers see a fun video-game romp, not activist messaging.

Creator track record context
Key names are mostly low on cached scores. Fowler, Casey, Miller, and major producers sit near 0–11 and are known for fan-facing comedy and action. One casting director is higher for general inclusive-casting talk, but the team’s public profile is commercial franchise work, not a strong activist pattern tied to this film.
