Justin and Aaron are brothers who escaped a UFO cult when they were young. They now live a poor and lonely life outside the group. A strange video brings them back to the camp in the hills near San Diego. The camp members seem friendly, healthy, and unchanged by time. The brothers soon face strange time loops, deadly traps, and a force they cannot understand.
The movie focuses on family, guilt, control, memory, and the wish to belong. Justin fears that the cult is planning a mass death, while Aaron remembers the group as a loving home. The story questions whether freedom always brings a better life. Its unusual ideas come from science fiction and cosmic horror, not modern identity politics. The main emotional conflict is between the two brothers.
