Trainwreck: Poop Cruise

Devin Marble and the other passengers are the main human voices in this documentary. They board the Carnival Triumph for a short trip from Texas to Mexico and expect sun, food, drinks, and family time. An engine room fire then cuts power, air conditioning, food storage, phone service, and working toilets. The ship drifts for days while sewage spreads, food runs low, and rescue plans change. The tone is gross, tense, and often darkly funny.

The film briefly contrasts holiday guests with about 1,200 crew members from many countries. A kitchen worker describes 70-hour weeks while guests party on the deck. The film also shows how Carnival's public message hid the broken toilets and how the company's ticket terms limited legal claims. These points add a small workplace and company-failure angle, but the story stays focused on the disaster itself. Passenger videos, news reports, family calls, and interviews build a story about fear, embarrassment, teamwork, and relief when the ship finally reaches land.
