Jaka is an Indonesian fighter who survives a raid on his village and hunts the hired guns who killed his wife. Thai fighter Payu and Chinese fighter Long Fei were tricked into joining the raid, so they become his uneasy allies. The three men later protect Tian Xiao Xian, a rich Chinese woman whose charity work threatens a crime group in the made-up Southeast Asian city of Maha Jaya. The movie has a fast, bloody tone built around gunfights, chases, and martial arts battles.
Tian uses her money to support schools, jobs, safe streets, and family life. Her plan puts her against Su Feng, a woman who runs a crime group and hires a mixed group of foreign killers. The main heroes win through loyalty, courage, skill, and Jaka's risky revenge plan. The plot treats charity and public safety as simple reasons for the action, while the men do most of the rescuing and final fighting.

Breakdown
These are the editorial factors and ratings behind our score for Triple Threat.
Woke representation / casting
The film puts women in four visible power or combat roles. Tian leads the public fight against a crime group and later kills one attacker. Su Feng runs the crime group, while Liang and Mook are skilled fighters. The three main heroes are men, and the Asian-led cast fits the Southeast Asian setting.
18%
Woke political dialogue
Not present. Tian gives one short TV speech about schools, jobs, safe streets, service, family, and fighting crime. Her message supports basic charity and law and order rather than woke politics.
0%
Identity-driven story themes
Not present. The story mentions rising crime against the local Chinese community once. Tian then talks about helping all local children and families, while the main plot stays focused on revenge and survival.
0%
Western institutional / cultural critique
Not present. Most hired killers are Western, but they are private criminals rather than symbols of Western society. The movie does not attack Western culture, men, family, faith, or traditional social rules.
0%
Woke character or canon changes
Not relevant. The movie tells an original story and does not change a known character or real person for identity reasons.
0%
Anti-woke backlash and complaints
Not present. Reviews and fan posts complain about weak writing, pacing, and missed fight chances. They do not claim that the movie pushes woke or DEI ideas.
0%
Creator track record context
Jesse V. Johnson has a cached score of 2 and no clear activist pattern. The three listed writers and the casting director score 0. Most producers score from 0 to 9, while Ying Ye and Sheldon Pang have mild identity-linked scores of 23 and 18. The group provides very little woke creator context.
