David Harbour

Personal context

Summary

David Harbour is an American actor and producer known for Stranger Things, Hellboy, and Black Widow. His roles often center on flawed authority figures, outsiders, and unconventional family bonds. In 2017, he used a Screen Actors Guild acceptance speech to defend “freaks and outcasts” in a moment widely read as a response to the Trump administration; in 2022, he said he supported the Black Lives Matter movement while emphasizing resources over representation. He has also joined Greenpeace’s Antarctic Ocean Sanctuary campaign.
