Personal context

Summary

Elisabeth Moss is an actor, producer and director known for Mad Men, Top of the Lake and The Handmaid’s Tale. Her work often centers on complex women confronting restrictive institutions, workplace barriers or personal control, though she has said she chooses projects for their scripts and characters rather than specifically seeking political or feminist roles. Moss has called herself a feminist, described women’s rights as human rights, and spoken in support of reproductive choice and Planned Parenthood. No public record of race-focused or LGBTQ advocacy, DEI affiliations, or partisan campaigning is established.
