Evan McCauley lives in New York while strange skills and memories trouble him. He thinks his mind is breaking down, but a secret group tells him that he is a man who has lived many past lives. The group is split between Believers who protect humanity and Nihilists who want to end all life so reincarnation will stop. Evan must recover his old memories and stop a deadly weapon in a fast, dark action story.
Nora Brightman leads the Believers and drives many of the film’s fights and rescues. She is often shown as the more skilled fighter beside Evan, and the film gives her a major heroic role. That focus on a female leader is the clearest audience-visible representation choice. The main story still centers on memory, grief, duty, hope, and the question of whether endless life is a gift or a curse.

Breakdown
These are the editorial factors and ratings behind our score for Infinite.
Woke representation / casting
Nora Brightman is the Believers’ leader and a main driver of the action. Nora is often shown as the more skilled fighter beside Evan. Sophie Cookson’s interviews present the role as a rare strong woman part in this genre. The film does not make gender or racial politics the subject, so the signal stays light.
25%
Woke political dialogue
Not present. The film contains no political, activist, or identity-related dialogue; all conversations stay within the reincarnation premise and faction conflict.
0%
Identity-driven story themes
Not present in this title.
0%
Western institutional / cultural critique
Not present. No portrayals or critiques of toxic masculinity, patriarchy, capitalism, colonialism, or Western institutions; the conflict remains purely fantastical.
0%
Woke character or canon changes
Not relevant. this is an original story with no established characters, canon, or historical figures altered for ideological reasons.
0%
Anti-woke backlash and complaints
Not present. No significant complaints or backlash treated the film as pushing woke, DEI, or identity politics; all criticism centered on entertainment quality and execution.
0%
Creator track record context
The key creators have mainly commercial action and science fiction careers. The available public record shows no strong activist or identity-focused pattern. Sophie Cookson linked the film’s duty theme to doing good and climate change in one interview. That mild environmental framing is supporting context, not the movie’s main message.
