Ebenezer Scrooge is a cruel lender who puts money ahead of people. On Christmas Eve in 1843 London, Jacob Marley warns him that his life will bring punishment after death. Three spirits take him through his past, present, and future. The bright songs and family scenes share the screen with ghosts, graves, and a race against time.
The story keeps its focus on personal greed, kindness, and the chance to change. The poor Cratchit family and the toy shop owner show how Scrooge hurts people with his choices. The animated London includes a mixed group of side characters, including the Black toy shop owner Tom Jenkins and a Black Ghost of Christmas Present. Those casting choices are visible, but they do not create identity-based storylines or replace Scrooge's central journey.
