Adam Driver

Personal context

Summary

Adam Driver is an actor and producer known for Girls, the Star Wars sequel trilogy, Paterson, BlacKkKlansman, Marriage Story, and other independent and studio films. His roles often explore troubled relationships, moral conflict, war, faith, and personal responsibility. In a 2015 interview, he said women and African American actors faced fewer opportunities in Hollywood, called the situation unfair, and acknowledged that he had benefited from being a straight white man. He has also co-founded Arts in the Armed Forces, a nonprofit bringing theater to military audiences; his public record does not show sustained partisan campaigning or a broader pattern of identity advocacy.
