Personal context
Alex MacNicoll is an American actor known for recurring roles in Transparent and 13 Reasons Why, as well as The Society and Brilliant Minds. His credits span ensemble dramas, teen series, sports films, and genre projects. In a 2019 interview, he said working on Transparent broadened his understanding of transgender people, gender, and sexuality, and “kick-started the activist inside” him. A project profile also described him as an outspoken ally to LGBTQIA and black communities, active professionally and personally; he promoted the climate initiative #AllEyesOnJuliana. No public record of party campaigning or conservative or anti-woke advocacy is apparent.
