Jared Leto

Personal context

Summary

Jared Leto is an actor, producer, and musician known for Requiem for a Dream, Dallas Buyers Club, and his band Thirty Seconds to Mars. His work spans psychologically intense dramas, biographical roles, and genre films. In his 2014 Oscar speech, he dedicated his award to people lost to AIDS and to those who face injustice because of who they are or whom they love. In 2016, he said gay actors had fewer leading-role opportunities in Hollywood; no public record of repeated identity-focused campaigning or DEI affiliations is established.
