2016–2019 · Based on 2 seasons through May 18, 2019 ·
Milo Murphy is a cheerful middle school student who causes trouble wherever he goes. A rare family condition makes accidents follow him everywhere. Milo, Melissa, and Zack face disasters at school, at home, and in other places. They use teamwork, positive thinking, fast jokes, songs, and science fiction adventures to handle each problem. The show focuses on optimism, friendship, courage, and making the best of bad luck. Season 1 follows Milo's daily problems and a time travel story with dangerous pistachio creatures. Season 2 adds a large space adventure and brings in characters from Phineas and Ferb. Viewers can see capable female characters and a varied group of young characters, but the show does not make gender politics, identity, or representation a main subject. The series has no clear political message, and these elements have little effect on its main stories about friendship, luck, and teamwork.
