Red Notice follows John Hartley, an FBI profiler who chases Nolan Booth, a famous art thief. A rival thief called the Bishop frames Hartley after stealing one of three golden eggs linked to Cleopatra. Hartley and Booth are sent through prisons, museums, a bull ring, a jungle, and a wedding while they hunt the other eggs. The movie uses fast chases, easy jokes, double-crosses, and star power to create light entertainment.
Sarah Black, the Bishop, is a skilled female thief who often stays ahead of both men. Inspector Urvashi Das is another capable woman who arrests Hartley and keeps the chase moving. Their jobs are part of the heist game, while the main characters care about treasure, pride, family wounds, and trust. The final twist turns the rivals into partners and sets up another theft.

Breakdown
These are the editorial factors and ratings behind our score for Red Notice.
Woke representation / casting
Sarah Black is a highly skilled female art thief who outsmarts and fights the two male leads. Inspector Urvashi Das is another capable woman who arrests Hartley and keeps the chase moving. The movie does not make race or gender a problem that the characters must discuss, and the global heist setting makes the main cast broadly believable. Netflix coverage still frames Black’s gown fight as pushing against a double standard for women in action movies.
