Robin, also called Damian Wayne, joins the Teen Titans after his reckless move ruins a Justice League mission. Batman sends him to the younger team because Damian thinks he can win every fight alone. He meets Starfire, Raven, Beast Boy, and Blue Beetle at Titans Tower. The story moves from modern Earth to a carnival and a demonic realm. The tone mixes superhero fights, dark magic, family trouble, jokes, and teenage friendships.
Raven's link to her father, the demon Trigon, drives the main danger. Trigon possesses members of the Justice League and uses them to open a path to Earth. Raven must decide whether her bloodline controls her or whether she can choose to be a hero. Damian must put aside his pride and learn that friendship and teamwork matter more than winning alone. The Titans save the League while Raven chooses her friends over her father's command.
