A magic meteor hits Adventure City and gives the PAW Patrol pups superpowers. They become the Mighty Pups. Mad scientist Victoria Vance and Mayor Humdinger try to steal the power crystals and put the city in danger. The story follows Skye, the smallest pup, as she learns she can still be a big hero. The tone is bright, loud, and made for young kids, with lots of action and rescue scenes.
The movie is mostly about teamwork, bravery, and feeling small but still useful. Skye’s big story is about size and confidence, not race, gender fights, or modern politics. Liberty has a side path about waiting for her power and training tiny junior pups. Viewers will mainly notice fun superpowers, vehicle chases, and a simple “you can help even if you feel little” message. Some famous black and other diverse actors voice new or returning roles, but the story does not push that as a main point.

Breakdown
These are the editorial factors and ratings behind our score for PAW Patrol: The Mighty Movie.
Woke representation / casting
Taraji P. Henson plays a black woman meteor scientist (the villain). Marsai Martin returns as Liberty. Other known black and mixed cast voices fill side roles in a modern city. That is clear diverse casting in big parts, but the film does not sell race as the point of the story, so weight stays light-to-moderate.
20%
Woke political dialogue
Talk is about teamwork, size, bravery, and stopping crooks. No real activist slogans, race talk, gender politics, or social-justice speeches show up as a main part of the movie.
0%
Identity-driven story themes
Core theme is Skye feeling small and still mattering, plus Liberty finding her gift later. That is mild girl-centered kid empowerment, not race, queer, or modern identity politics as the engine of the plot.
12%
Western institutional / cultural critique
No push against traditional family, faith, “toxic men,” or Western culture. Villains are a greedy mayor and a mad scientist, not stand-ins for modern politics.
0%
Woke character or canon changes
Not relevant. Skye stays the girl pilot pup. Liberty was already in the first film. No clear race or gender swap of old canon figures for ideology.
0%
Anti-woke backlash and complaints
No clear, widespread anti-woke campaign against this movie’s story or casting. Related “PAW Patrol woke” noise mostly targets other franchise parts, not The Mighty Movie itself.
