Trouble is a pampered dog who lives in a rich woman’s huge home, with staff meeting his every need. After his owner dies, her greedy niece and nephew throw him out while they chase the inheritance. Trouble lands in a city he does not understand, where he faces traffic, squirrels, a dog pound, and a hired tracker. The bright comedy stays silly while it deals with loss, fear, and loneliness.
Trouble meets Rousey, a tough stray who no longer trusts people, and Zoe, a young singer who is struggling to pay her bills. The dogs at the park teach Trouble that friendship and teamwork matter more than a fancy home. Zoe gives him care while Trouble helps her regain hope and work toward a singing contest. The story treats love, loyalty, family, and a real home as more valuable than money, while the greedy relatives serve as the main villains.

Breakdown
These are the editorial factors and ratings behind our score for Trouble.
Woke representation / casting
Not present. The film uses a mixed voice cast, including Big Sean, Lucy Hale, Pamela Adlon, and Wilmer Valderrama, but it does not frame race, gender, or identity as a message.
0%
Woke political dialogue
Not present. The dialogue stays on dogs, money, survival, friendship, family, and music. It does not argue for a modern political cause.
0%
Identity-driven story themes
Not present. The story deals with loss, loneliness, friendship, pet care, and finding a home. The dogs’ trust problems are not about human identity politics.

Not present. The film mocks greedy relatives who want an inheritance. That is a simple family comedy problem, not a modern attack on Western institutions, family roles, or social norms.
0%
Woke character or canon changes

0%
