Steve Buscemi

Personal context

Summary

Steve Buscemi is an actor, director, and former New York City firefighter known for Reservoir Dogs, Fargo, The Sopranos, and Boardwalk Empire, as well as directing Trees Lounge. His screen work often features outsiders and morally compromised characters, especially in crime stories and dark comedy. In 2013, he called the Republican role in the government shutdown “criminal” and urged voters to remember it in the next elections. He has also publicly advocated for active and retired firefighters; no public statements on identity politics, DEI, or identity-based activism are on record.
