Person profile
Personal context
Stan Lee co-created many of Marvel’s best-known characters, including Spider-Man, the Fantastic Four, and the X-Men, and wrote the recurring “Stan’s Soapbox” column. His work often addressed prejudice and intolerance, and he used the column to condemn racism and bigotry; he also described himself as a human-rights activist. In a 2015 interview, he said Peter Parker should remain white and straight. No public record of DEI roles, party campaigning, or LGBTQ advocacy is established.
